Privacy policy

Devlin's Corner Store (“we”, “us”) operates this website from 3450 Highway 11, Devlin, Ontario. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect through the site’s forms and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you submit a catering request, trailer rental request or LCBO bulk order request we collect the information you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number and the details of your event or order. For self-tow trailer rentals we also collect your tow vehicle description and plate number and copies of your driver’s licence and proof of insurance. For LCBO bulk orders you may optionally upload a Special Occasion Permit.

We also record the date and time of your submission and the IP address and browser it came from, which we use only to prevent abuse of the forms.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your request and arrange the catering, rental or order you asked for.
• To verify that a trailer is released to a licensed, insured driver.
• To send you a confirmation of your request and updates about its status.

We do not sell or rent your information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.

Who can see it

Only the store owner and staff who handle bookings can view submissions, through a sign-in-protected area of this site. Uploaded documents are stored privately and are never reachable by a public link.

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored in a database and uploaded documents in private file storage, both hosted by our website provider (Vercel) and its infrastructure partners. Some of that infrastructure is located in the United States, which means your information may be subject to the laws of that country while stored there. Confirmation and update emails are sent through our email provider (Resend).

How long we keep it

• Driver’s licence and insurance documents are deleted once the related rental is complete and settled.
• Request details are kept for up to two years for booking records and then removed.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to any records we must keep). Cookies

The public pages of this site set no tracking cookies. The owner sign-in area uses a single session cookie that is required for it to work.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
